Pope's Place Experience

This Place Changes Everything

From the moment a family realizes they need assistance with their child, Pope’s Place is ready to help. From specialized nursing, medical needs, to a playground for active learners, we have it all. Starting as a pediatric group home that provided respite care to families of medically fragile children, we’ve expanded to include an adult family home and an early learning center equipped to handle behavioral special needs children. Pope’s Place is a shining example of community good.

Vivian’s House

Young Adult Family Home

Vivian’s House is a residential, transitional, and respite group home, for young adults who still need a high level of nursing care, but no longer need acute hospitalization. We provide 24-hour nursing care in a small group home setting. We individualize treatment plans that include physical, occupational, social work, and education. When possible our Vivian’s House residents may further their education, participate in recreational and cultural outings and interact with other individuals.

For those who do not have family, we are dedicated to providing nurturing love and support.

Early Learning Center

We serve typical developing children as well as children with special behavioral needs by providing an individualized learning plan, celebrating the individuality of every child in our program, and supporting each child and their families.

Our Preschool Program has a holistic approach to learning. Our unique preschool program curriculum serves children from 2½ until kindergarten. With the philosophy of meeting each child where they are, our dedicated staff works to promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Our goal is to prepare each preschooler for readiness in kindergarten by nurturing them for lasting success.

Our School-Age Program offers before and after school care in addition to a full summer program. This program is structured to assist the learning of children aged 5 to 12 years with a goal of promoting confidence and individuality. Allowing for a child led approach our school-aged curriculum allows children to discover and explore their world based on their interests.
